**Overview**
The Pacific Rim Conference for Gender, Environmental Regulation and Green Innovation concluded successfully on April 28th, 2024. This summit brought together leading scholars and practitioners from across the globe to exchange insights on pressing global challenges at the nexus of gender, environmental policy, and innovation for green growth.
**Preparatory Committee Meeting Highlights**
The preparatory committee meeting on April 26th set the stage for a fruitful conference, focusing on logistical details, objectives, and the framework for future gatherings. The Welcome Dinner provided an informal setting for initial networking and discussions.
**Opening Ceremony and Keynote Speeches**
On April 27th, esteemed speakers, including Prof. Chun-Ping Chang, Prof. Zhu-Jia Yin, and Prof. Daisuke Ikazaki, inaugurated the conference with messages emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations and the pivotal role of green innovation in sustainable development. Professor Ning Wang thoroughly described the establishment and achievements of the "Innovation and Green Development" journal. Professor Dong-Min Kong offered insightful keynote speeches on board diversity and green innovation. He used the exogenous relaxation of China's One-Child Policy (OCP) in 2013, which led to a significant drop in female labor force participation as a policy shock. Drawing from diversity theory and gender socialization and ethics theory, he explored whether and how board gender diversity affects a corporation's green innovation.

**Panel Discussions and Presentations**
The event featured a series of engaging panel discussions segmented into parallel sessions. Topics such as the politicization of environmental issues, the integration of green finance policies, and the impact of automation and human investment on economic disparities were adeptly handled by the presenters and discussants. The discussions were fruitful, yielding comprehensive debates on policies and strategies to enhance renewable energy adoption and sustainable business practices.
**Closing Remarks**
Prof. Chun-Ping Chang presented the VSI introduction during the closing ceremony, setting the tone for future academic contributions, and Prof. Daisuke Ikazaki offered an inspiring closing speech that resonated with the attendees, underscored by the collective commitment to forwarding the agenda of green innovation.
